East Tennessee Liberty recognizes and cherishes the
concept of liberty in human life. Liberty is freedom to live without
forceful intervention by others. It is personal sovereignty over life and
property. Liberty was a guiding principle of the men who forged American
society over two hundred years ago. We value basic human prosperity and
reject government that allows violations of liberty.
Tyrants rule America. We must work together as a
community in a fight against them, a fight to overcome evil, ignorance, and
apathy.
We the people of East Tennessee believe only
restoration of liberty will return prosperity. We must awaken others; it
demands our time and diligence.
East Tennessee Liberty emerged a few months after
the 2008 presidential primary. Several East Tennesseans had been involved in
Ron Paul's campaign for the Republican nomination. Some were awakening to
the corrupt nature of American government. Others were already awake, but
enthused by Paul's effort to awaken voters.
Political corruption is a worldwide phenomenon. People all over the
Earth are experiencing an attack on liberty by the New World Order.
